Derek Staaland
Board Member & Marriage Ministry Director // City First Church
Derek and his wife Kari serve on the City First Church Board and as the directors of the City First Church Marriage Ministry. They have been involved at City First Church since 1983. Their passion is to encourage, strengthen, and bring hope to marriages with the principles found in God’s Word. Over the last 13 years they have mentored numerous married couples through life groups, mentorship groups, and one-on-one premarital counseling. Derek has served on the Church Council since 2009. Derek and Kari have been married for 18 years and have three children, Regan (13), Lauren (11), and Caleb (7).
