Christmas is God’s embrace.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…”
You are created for relationship with God.
Isaiah 59:2 (EEB) “But the wrong things that you have done have made you separate from your God.”
Luke 2:17 (NLT) “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
“Where’s the peace?”
Peace on this earth is temporary.
Isaiah 9:6 (NLT) “For a child is born to us, a Son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Jesus is peace!

- Peace WITH God (Forgiven)
- Peace OF God
John 14:27 (NLT) “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
Luke 2:4-7 (NIV) “So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped Him in cloths and placed Him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”
Immanuel, which means “God with us.”
