I’ve Seen It With My Own Eyes

Faith often defies our human logic. We crave explanations and insight, but that doesn’t stop Jesus from working in miraculous ways, often beyond what we can see. Join Pastor Chris Durso as he unpacks the incredible story of a man born blind and reveals the life-changing truth that Jesus is still performing miracles today.

Notes 📓✏️:

I’ve Seen It with My Own Eyes – Chris Durso

John 9:1-11 (AMP) – While He was passing by, He noticed a man [who had been] blind from birth. His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi (Teacher), who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but it was so that the works of God might be displayed and illustrated in him. We must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world [giving guidance through My word and works].” When He had said this, He spat on the ground and made mud with His saliva, and He spread the mud [like an ointment] on the man’s eyes. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing. So the neighbors, and those who used to know him as a beggar, said, “Is not this the man who used to sit and beg?” Some said, “It is he.” Still others said, “No, but he looks like him.” But he kept saying, “I am the man.” So they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?” He replied, “The Man called Jesus made mud and smeared it on my eyes and told me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received my sight!”

Acts 3:16 – “By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.”

Deuteronomy 10:21 – “He is the one you praise; He is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.”

Romans 11:34 – “Who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has been his counselor?”

1 Corinthians 2:11 – “For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”

John 9:1 (AMP) – While He was passing by, He noticed a man [who had been] blind from birth.

YOU’VE BEEN SEEN BY GOD.

EVERY MIRACLE YOU EVER SEE IS GIVEN, NOT EARNED.

John 9:1-2 (AMP) – His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi (Teacher), who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”

Romans 3:10 – “There is none righteous, no, not one.”

You’re not a problem. You’re a prop.

John 9:3 (AMP) – Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but it was so that the works of God might be displayed and illustrated in him.”

Luke 9:24-25 – A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.” He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

IT’S TIME TO WORK THE WORKS.

John 9:4 (AMP) – “We must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; night is coming when no one can work.”
